“If you like epic science fiction, I highly recommend this story. It has the classic evil versus good, but also bigger questions, new worlds and creatures, and a hero with an unusual background..”

When the truth is among stars
At the age of eight, Tuya saw her beloved uncle Bold disappear in a blinding light across the Mongolian steppes. While everyone else dismissed it as fantasy, she knew the truth – aliens had taken him.
Now 26 years old, Tuya lives a restless life in Sweden, on the run from her past and unable to hold down a job. When her former UFO hunter colleague Kate unexpectedly shows up with information about Bold, Tuya is reluctantly drawn back into the hunt for truths the world is not ready for.
But nothing could prepare her for what happens when she steps into a mysterious capsule and is transported light-years away – to The Colony, an alien world inhabited by three extraterrestrial races and humans held as slaves.
There, Tuya learns that Bold was known as the Wanderer, a legendary protector of an artifact called the Red Twin. And now she must take up his mantle before the powers that rule the Colony discover who she really is.
In a world where allies can be enemies and where nothing is as it seems, Tuya must find her uncle and uncover the truth about the Red Twin – before both the Colony and Earth perish.
A space adventure about identity, family bonds and the courage to confront a universal truth.
How the sci-fi book was created
The idea for the sci-fi / cyberpunk adventure “Red Twin” in its current form was born in 2019. Before this, I had used the same name for a children’s book based on Norse mythology.
But it was never finished. I lacked the knowledge and tools to transform an idea into a workable manuscript.
After listening to countless podcasts about how established authors do it, I understood the profession and created a methodology. I chose detailed plotting to plan the book and got to work!

I procrastinated for a long time and thought I needed to build a Fantasy world like George R.R Martin (Game of Thrones) first, but then I realized that you can do it as you go (like the Star Wars science-fiction world).
So during 6 months of paternity leave I wrote for a living while continuing to learn about the profession. How do you structure a book? How do you publish a book in Sweden? How do you create conflict and make the characters engaging?
You never stop learning, but I feel like I have found the basic tools to shape the story to my liking.
Now I revise with a more spontaneous method, where I think about the drama and conflict in each scene while developing the characters’ flaws and internal struggles.
This is my debut novel and part one of a science fiction series in Swedish. This is what I’ve always wanted to do and now I’m doing it!
