In the middle of the Rovian steppe rises the capital, New Rov, the seat of King Smier. Here, lavish parties mix with races on flying motorcycles.
We asked a Rovian historian how he would describe the city, and here is what he said:
New Rov is a mix of high technology and worn-down neighborhoods. Neon-lit streets sit side by side with hidden alleys, and Smier’s palace dominates the center. The city is uneven, with stark contrasts between luxury and decay.

New Rov isn’t just the capital—it is also the technical heart of the Colony. Many inventions come from here, and Rovian technicians are known for their skill.
On the streets of New Rov, it’s best to be rich or a survivor, because if the gangs don’t get you the Rovian army might. The king’s militant police force constantly patrols the city—especially the slum areas outside the walls—but even they can struggle when a gang has decided to take what it considers its own.
But the city also has a thriving nightlife: bars, clubs, and more exotic entertainment… For those with a few credits it’s never boring, and New Rov is said to never sleep.
